We are located at Masjid Tower on the main road in Areacode. It’s a pretty central spot here in Malappuram. Areekode Gold And Diamonds Private Limited is the name on the papers, but most people just know us as the gold shop in the tower. Being on the main road means there is always something going on outside. We see the buses and cars go by all day long while we work inside. Our day usually involves a lot of weighing gold and checking the quality of pieces. We aren't doing anything fancy with big marketing plans. We just open the shop and help the people who walk through the door. Kerala has a lot of jewelry shops, but we like our little corner in Areacode. The staff here are all local, so we speak the same language as everyone else and know the families around here. Sometimes it gets really busy during the wedding season, and we are on our feet for hours. Other times, it's just us sitting and talking about the news. We don't have a corporate handbook or anything. We just try to be honest and do our work well. The Masjid Tower is a landmark, so people don't usually get lost trying to find us. It’s a straightforward business and we plan on keeping it that way for a long time. It feels good to be part of the community on this busy main road. We see a lot of the same people every week.
