Angadippuram Nidhi Limited

We’ve been running Angadippuram Nidhi Limited from our spot at Thanikkathadathil for a while now. It is right there near Eranthodu, not too far from the Edathuppuram Temple. Most days it’s just us handling the usual paperwork and talking to folks who stop by. We aren’t some big city office with glass walls. It is a simple place where people from around Angadippuram come when they need to sort out their savings or look into a small loan. Sometimes the office gets a bit crowded on Monday mornings, but we manage. We spend a lot of time double-checking the ledger books because we want things to be right. It’s a lot of counting and writing things down in the registers. People know where to find us since the temple is such a clear landmark. We don’t have fancy uniforms or anything like that. Just the staff here doing their jobs. We try to keep things quiet and organized, though sometimes the street noise makes its way inside. It feels like a part of the neighborhood, really. Dealing with local money matters takes patience, and we have plenty of that. Most of our members are people we see at the market or around town anyway. It is just about keeping things moving along steadily. We have a small tea break in the afternoon when things quiet down a bit. We open the doors early enough and stay until the work for the day is finished. That’s how it goes here.
