Akg Memorial Co-Operative Hospital & Research Centre Society Limited

Our hospital is inside Thappy's Tower over in Parappanangadi. It’s a co-operative, which means the way things are run is a bit different than those big private chains you see in the city. We are specifically located in the Putharikkal PO area. The building is easy to spot once you get close. We have a research center here too, so you might see people looking at data or writing up reports in the quieter corners of the facility. It is a community-driven place. Most of the staff lives within a short drive or walk from here, so we know many of the local families quite well. The halls are wide and we try to keep things as clean as possible, though with so many people coming in and out, there is always something to tidy up. We have different sections for various medical needs. It isn't a place with a lot of shiny chrome or expensive art on the walls. It feels like a hospital should. There is a lot of history with the society that started this whole project. You can see it in the way the older staff talks about the early days. Patients come here because they know us. The research side of things keeps us busy with new ideas, but the main goal is just helping whoever walks through the front door of Thappy's Tower. It gets humid here, but we have fans going all day to keep everyone comfortable.
