Ak Star Builders is located on the second floor of the GCC Apartment building, right on the main road. If you're looking for building number 7 / 876 C, that’s us. It’s a busy area, which is good for business but a bit of a pain for parking sometimes. We’ve been in the building trade for quite some time. It’s a tough industry. You’re always dealing with something, whether it’s a late truck or a worker who didn’t show up because of a family wedding. No one tries to sugarcoat it here. Building a house or an office is a lot of stress. Our job is basically to handle that stress so the owner doesn't have to. The office is just a place for us to keep our files and meet with subcontractors. Most of our life happens on-site. We’re the ones wearing the worn-out boots and carrying the blueprints around. No marketing team exists in this office. Our work comes from people seeing what we’ve done and asking who built it. Keeping prices realistic is important to us. Everything is getting more expensive these days, from steel to sand, and we just tell people how it is. We aren’t trying to be the biggest builders in the state. We just want to do a solid job and be able to walk down the street without anyone complaining about their roof leaking.
