Academy Of Distance Studies

You can find us over near the Classic College Junction, right on the Rajiv Gandhi Mini Bypass Road. We are tucked in near the Cellworld building. It is a busy spot with lots of students and traffic always passing by our door. We help people who want to study but can't go to a regular classroom every day. A lot of our students are working jobs or have families to look after, so they need a different way to get their degrees. Our office is full of brochures, application forms, and stacks of textbooks waiting to be picked up. It’s not a very big place, so it can get a bit cramped when three or four people come in at once to ask about courses. I spend a lot of my time explaining how the enrollment works and making sure everyone has the right papers signed. Sometimes the phone doesn't stop ringing and I have to juggle three conversations at once while looking for a file. We don't have any fancy lecture halls here. It’s mostly just a place for guidance and getting the paperwork sorted. The walls are covered in calendars and maps of different universities. I’ve been doing this for a while and I know the rules can be confusing, so I try to make it easier for the students. It’s a lot of paper shuffling and emails, but it feels good when someone finally gets their certificate in the mail. We stay open pretty late to help the working crowd.
