Saikia Family Fishery Llp

We are the Saikia Family Fishery LLP. You can find us at the Abhoipuria Gaon in Morongi. We are set up right by the M/S Goutam Saikia Rice Mill. It makes sense because the family has been in this area for a long time. The fishery is something we all work on together. It is not a big corporate thing, just a family business. We spend our days out by the water. There is always something to do with the fish, whether it is feeding them or checking the levels in the ponds. Being near the rice mill means there is always activity around here. You hear the machines running and see the people coming and going with their grain. Morongi is a nice place to live and work. We have grown up knowing these lands and these waters. The work is hard on the hands and we are usually tired by the time dinner rolls around. We don't have any fancy marketing people. It’s just us Saikias and a few others helping out. We take care of the fish and hope the season is good to us. Sometimes the rain is too much and we worry about the ponds overflowing. But we have been through it before. We just keep working at Abhoipuria Gaon and doing what we know how to do. It’s just the way we live and run our fishery.
