Suzata Kisan Producer Company Limited

Suzata Kisan Producer Company Limited is based out of Varauli, which is a small place in the Mainpuri district. Our office is at House Number 19. Since we are a producer company, it’s really just a group of us who are farmers from the local area. We decided to get together so we could have a better say in how our crops are sold and what seeds we buy. Mainpuri is where we live and work, so it made sense to set it up here. The office is pretty simple, nothing more than a room with some basic furniture and a lot of folders. We don't have fancy titles or a big staff. It’s mostly just us sitting around and talking about the weather or the price of grain. Being in Uttar Pradesh, you never really know what the harvest will be like until it happens. Some years are great and some years we just barely get by. It’s a tough life, but it’s what we know. We aren't trying to sell anyone on some big dream. We just want to make things a little easier for the families in Varauli. Sometimes the paperwork gets confusing and we have to ask for help, but we're figuring it out as we go. It’s a local effort, through and through. We just show up and see what the day brings, hoping for a decent harvest. It’s a slow process building this up, but we’re getting there.
