Shiv-shakti Traders

We are based out of Dedpur Mainpur, which is a quiet enough spot most days. Shiv-shakti Traders has been our way of life for a good few years. We mostly deal with local supplies and whatever the market is asking for at the time. It’s a family-run kind of setup. My uncle used to handle most of it, but now a few of us take turns minding the counter and checking the stock in the back. The road to Dedpur can get a bit dusty in the summer months, but it’s easy enough to find us if you know the area. We don't spend money on big signs or anything. People know where we are. We keep the books on a desk near the front door. Sometimes we have plenty of stuff, other times we are waiting on a truck to arrive from the city. It’s just how it goes with trading. We try to keep prices fair because we live here too and see our customers at the market every day. If something isn't right, we try to fix it. No need for long contracts or complicated talk. We sell what we have and try to be helpful when someone asks a question. It’s not a huge operation, just a regular store in Mainpur. We close for lunch sometimes, so if the door is locked, just wait ten minutes and we’ll be back. Trading is hard work but it keeps us busy and connected to the people in the village.
