You can find Mj Impex right in the middle of Gol Bazar. If you know the area, you know it’s one of the busiest spots you can imagine. There’s always a crowd, and the air is full of the smell of street food and the sound of people haggling. We’ve been here for a good while, and our shop is a bit of a hub for the things we import and export. It’s not a huge space, but we make every inch count. Boxes are stacked nearly to the ceiling sometimes. We spend our days talking to vendors and checking the quality of the goods that come through the door. It’s a lot of manual work, moving things around and making sure everything is accounted for. We don’t have a big office with air conditioning; it’s more about being where the trade is actually happening. Sometimes it gets a bit chaotic, especially on market days, but that’s the energy we like. We don’t use any complicated business strategies. We just buy what’s good and sell it for a fair price. Most of our regular customers just drop in for a chat and a cup of tea while we talk business. It’s a very traditional way of doing things, based on handshakes and staying true to your word. Gol Bazar is our home, and we wouldn’t want to be anywhere else because this is where the real work happens every day.
