Mac Foods Company

Mac Foods Company is out in Liliya Village, right at Kalwa Chowk. It is a different kind of pace out here compared to the big cities. The chowk is usually where everything happens, so we see a lot of people passing through every day. Our building is not anything special to look at, just a sturdy place where we handle our food products. We work with a lot of the local people around here. Some days are slow, especially when the weather is bad and the roads get muddy. Other days, we are rushing around trying to get everything loaded onto the trucks before the sun sets. We do not have any fancy signs or big advertisements. Most people in Liliya know who we are just by word of mouth. Inside, the floors are concrete and the walls are plain. We keep our equipment clean, but there is always a bit of dust because of the open doors. We drink a lot of tea and talk about the crops or the local news while we work. It is a very grounded way to run a business. We are not trying to change the world or anything; we are just making sure there is food available for the people who need it. It is honest work and it keeps the lights on. Sometimes the neighbors come by just to chat for a while, and we do not mind the company. It makes the day go by a lot faster.
