Mithni Plastic

Our place, Mithni Plastic, is located on the road going towards the railway station in Savar Kundla, Mahuva. If you're heading that way in Bhavnagar, you've probably passed us. We work with plastics, mostly everyday items that people need. It’s not a glamorous job. There’s a lot of heat involved in the process, and the noise from the machinery is constant. We started small and stayed that way because it's easier to manage. The staff is mostly local guys who have been with us for a long time. We know our customers by name usually. The shop floor is always covered in scraps, and we spend a lot of time sweeping up. We don't have a fancy website or a big sign. The address is simple enough to find if you’re near the station. Sometimes the monsoon rains make the road outside a mess, but we keep the doors open anyway. The station road is always busy with people catching trains, so there’s a constant stream of rickshaws passing by our door. Sometimes the dust from the road gets into everything, but that’s just part of being in Mahuva. We’ve thought about moving to a bigger place, but this spot is convenient for shipping things out. It’s a bit cramped when a big delivery arrives, but we make it work. We drink tea twice a day together and talk about how the business is going. It's a simple life. We take pride in the fact that we haven't moved.
