Bhagwati Cement

Bhagwati Cement is located out in Julphar, which is a part of Bhavnagar. It’s a practical location for us. We handle a lot of heavy bags and trucks coming in and out, so being in this part of town makes sense for the logistics of it. The yard stays pretty grey with all the dust, but that’s expected when you’re dealing with cement every day. It’s not a glamorous business. We spend most of the day coordinating deliveries and making sure the stock is stacked right so it doesn’t get ruined by the damp. The office is just a place to sit down for a minute and have some tea while we go over the numbers. People from around Bhavnagar know us as the place in Julphar where they can get what they need for their building work. We don’t spend money on big signs or fancy decorations because it doesn’t really help the cement stay dry. We just focus on the inventory. Sometimes the trucks are late, or the weather turns bad, and we just have to figure it out as we go. It’s a lot of physical work and keeping track of orders. We’ve got a small crew here, and we all just do what needs to be done to keep the business running. It’s a plain, honest business. Nothing more and nothing less than that. Just a cement yard in a busy part of the city doing what we do every day.
