Govt Degree College

Being a Govt Degree College here in Lalitpur means things are usually pretty steady. The college is located at 284403 Lalitpur and it’s a big part of the town. Students come from all over the district, some on buses and others walking quite a distance. The buildings have that old government feel to them, with thick walls and high ceilings that stay cool in the summer. We have a lot of paperwork to deal with every day and the office is always busy with someone needing a form or a signature. The campus has some trees where students sit between their classes to talk or study. It isn't a very loud place, except for when the classes let out for the day. Our teachers have been here for years and they know the local families well. We don't have fancy decorations on the walls, just the stuff that needs to be there. In the winter, the mornings are foggy and quiet until the first batch of students arrives. We just focus on getting through the syllabus and making sure the exams happen on time. There is always a lot of dust from the road, but we try to keep the classrooms clean enough. It is just a place for learning and getting a degree so people can find work later on. That is the main thing we do here in this part of Uttar Pradesh. We open the gates early and close them when the sun goes down.
