Our work happens out in Maudaha, which is in the Hamirpur area. It’s a place where things move a bit slower than the big cities, but we stay busy with the leather. We have been doing this for a long time. The smell of leather is something you just get used to when you spend all day in the workshop. We handle the raw materials and see them through the different stages. It’s heavy work sometimes, moving the hides around and making sure everything is treated properly. We don't have a big marketing department or a fancy showroom. Most of our work is about the actual production. The people who work here are mostly from the local area. We know the tools and the machines pretty well by now. Maudaha is our home and it’s where we feel most comfortable doing this kind of business. It’s not always easy, especially when the weather changes or when supplies are slow to arrive. But we just keep at it. We have a set routine every morning. We check the stock, start the machines, and get to work. It’s a practical business built on years of doing the same thing. People around here know us for the leather work we do. We don't make big promises, we just show up and do the job as best as we can. It’s a simple life but it’s ours, and we are glad to be part of the community in Hamirpur.
