Nawvihhan Livelihood Foundation

Our group, Nawvihhan Livelihood Foundation, is based over in Rakhitpur, Mukunda. Specifically, we work out of the place associated with Seenath Mahto, who is the son of Mr. Maheshwar Mahto. It’s a local spot that everyone in the village knows pretty well. We don't have a big sign or a glass building. It’s just a house where we’ve set up some space to handle our business. Most of the time, we’re out and about in the village or sitting in the shade talking to folks. We started this because we saw a need for something local that didn't feel like a big government office. We keep our records in notebooks and try to stay organized, even when things get a bit chaotic during the busy seasons. Mukunda is a good place to be, and being in Rakhitpur allows us to stay close to the people we are actually working with. We spend a lot of time just listening to what people have to say. It’s not always easy, and sometimes we run into problems with transport or just the general pace of life here. But we stick with it. There’s no big fancy plan, just a day-by-day effort to keep things moving forward. We don't have a lot of money for decorations or fancy furniture, so we just use what we have. It feels more real that way, just working from the family property and doing what we can.
