Saw Limited Ipu, Mundra (Gujarat)

Our place is over on Mehsana Road in Visnagar, specifically at Amit R. Prajapati’s spot, number 31 in Mahalaxmi Society. We deal with mechanical stuff, mostly around Mundra. It’s a bit of a drive, but that’s where the work is. Being mechanical engineers, we spend a lot of time looking at machines and parts. The office in Visnagar is where we handle the planning and the boring paperwork. It’s not a large operation, just a few of us who know our way around a toolbox and a blueprint. We’ve been around Gujarat for a while, working at the Ipu site in Mundra for Saw Limited. It’s industrial work, so it’s often greasy and loud. We don't mind. We prefer being out there than sitting behind a desk all day. People in Mahalaxmi Society know us as the guys who are always coming and going to the coast. We keep our gear in the back and try to stay on top of the schedule. Sometimes parts don't arrive on time, which is frustrating, but we deal with it. It’s just how the business goes. We don't have a PR department or anything like that. We just have our experience and our tools. If a machine breaks down, we go fix it. That’s the long and short of it. We’ve seen the area grow quite a bit since we started. There is always more dust on the road these days, but we just keep our heads down and work.
