Rajvant Agro Producer Company Limited is based out of Ranpur village. This is in the Satlasana area of Mehsana. Our office is basically at Tulshibhai Kashabhai Harijan’s place. It’s a rural setting, so things are pretty quiet compared to the big cities in Gujarat. We don't have fancy office furniture or air conditioning here. We mostly sit around a wooden table and talk about the crops and the season ahead. The village life suits us just fine. We work directly with the farmers in the area. Sometimes the weather is bad and it affects everything we do, but that's just part of the job. Tulshibhai is a well-known person here, so everyone knows where to find our little office. We have some trees outside that provide good shade during the hot afternoons when the sun is very strong. We don't spend money on big ads or anything like that. We just talk to the local people and help them with their agro needs. Our paperwork is all kept in a few metal cupboards in the corner. It’s a very simple way of doing business. We have lived in Mehsana all our lives, so we know how things work in this part of the country. Most of our days are spent checking on the harvest or talking to the producers about their problems. It’s hard work, especially in the heat, but we like being part of the community.
