Navjivan Hospital

Navjivan Hospital sits right there opposite the railway station circle, so it is never really quiet around here. You can hear the announcements from the platforms if the wind blows the right way. People are always rushing past with bags and luggage, trying to catch their trains or coming home after a long trip. The circle itself is a mess of rickshaws and bikes most mornings. We are just in that one building that everyone sees when they walk out of the main gates. It is not a very big place, but it has been there for a good while now. Inside, it smells like floor cleaner and sometimes tea because there is a small stall just a few steps away. We spend most of our days just dealing with whatever comes through the door. Some people come in looking lost because they just got off a train and don't know the city well. We tell them where we are and help them out. The walls are a bit plain, maybe they could use a new coat of paint, but nobody really cares about that when they are focused on getting better. The fan in the waiting area makes a bit of a clicking sound, but it keeps the air moving. It is just a regular hospital doing regular things every day. Nothing fancy or complicated. We just open up early and stay until the work is done for the day. This spot has become a landmark for many travelers.
