Our office is at 40A, Suncity Bunglows in Mehsana. It’s located just behind the Nagalpur College, so we see a lot of students and activity nearby. Ashvin and the rest of us have been working out of this bungalow for years. It’s a comfortable place to work, much better than a cramped office in a crowded market. We do all the standard CA work, from auditing to tax planning. The atmosphere is pretty relaxed until the end of the financial year hits. Then, it’s all hands on deck and lots of late nights. We have a few desks set up in the main rooms and the shelves are sagging under the weight of tax guides. Mehsana is a good place to be, and being in a residential area like Suncity makes the morning commute easy. We know most of our clients by their first names. They come in, sit down, and we go over their finances over a glass of water or tea. We don't have a receptionist in a suit; usually, whoever is closest to the door just lets people in. It’s a very straightforward way of working. We just focus on the task at hand and try to keep our clients' records straight. It’s been our base for a long time and we like the routine of it. We often end up working through lunch when there's a big audit to finish. It is just part of being an accountant here.
