Our office is located at House No. 246H in Moti Nagar, right here in Narnaul. It is the residence of Vijay Kumar Verma, and we have converted a portion of it for the Svr Mutual Benefit Nidhi work. It is located in a pretty convenient spot for people living in the Mahendragarh district. We get a mix of people coming in, from small shopkeepers to daily wage workers who want to save a little for the future. The office is not very big, and it can get a bit hot in the summer, but we have a couple of fans that do the job. We spend a lot of time sitting around a big wooden table, going through passbooks and explaining the interest rates or the savings plans. We don't use any of that complicated financial language that nobody understands. We just talk like normal people. Sometimes our kids are running around in the background or there is noise from the street, but nobody seems to mind. It’s a very informal environment. We take pride in the fact that our members trust us. We don't have a website or any fancy tech; we mostly just use our phones and our paper records. It is a very basic operation, but it works well for the people in our area. We are just local residents helping our neighbors manage their money.
