Kamal Traders

Our shop, Kamal Traders, is tucked away in the lane near the Chitlang Near Chitlang Jama Masjid Lane Sakinaka. If you know the area, you know how crowded it gets around here. We’ve been operating out of this spot for years. The walls are lined with shelves that are usually overflowing with stock. It’s a bit of a maze inside sometimes. We spend a lot of our day checking lists and moving boxes around to find what someone needs. It’s dusty work, and the fans never seem to move enough air, but we are used to it by now. People from the neighborhood stop by, and we usually have a quick chat while we settle up. It is not a high-tech operation. We still use a lot of paper notebooks to keep track of who owes what and what needs to be ordered for next week. The traffic in the lane can be a real headache when a delivery truck tries to squeeze through. You can hear the noise from the street all day long. We just keep our heads down and get the work done. Some days are slower than others, but there is always something to reorganize or a stack of crates to move. It is a simple life here in Sakinaka, just buying and selling things and keeping the business afloat one day at a time. It isn't always easy, but it's what we know and what we do.
