Granite India

Granite India is situated in the Edayil Peedika area, right on the Palloor-Pandakkal Road in Mahe. Our location is easy to find if you know the neighborhood, though the road can be a bit tight when we have big trucks arriving. We’ve been operating from this spot for quite a while now. The yard is mostly full of granite slabs, so there isn’t much space for anything else. We don't have a fancy air-conditioned office or a place for people to sit and wait. Most of our business happens right out in the yard where the stone is kept. We spend our time checking the arrivals and making sure the pieces aren't damaged. Mahe is a nice place to work, though the rainy season can make everything a bit messy and slow us down. We don't use any professional marketing language or try to sound bigger than we are. It’s just a few of us here, and we handle the orders as they come in. If someone wants to see a particular type of granite, we have to move a few pieces around to get to it. It’s heavy work and we are usually pretty tired by the end of the shift. We like the directness of how we run things on Palloor-Pandakkal Road. It’s a simple, honest setup where we just focus on the granite and getting it to the people who need it.
