Public Brick Udyog

Public Brick Udyog is situated out in Chelpur Village. It’s a nice area near the Kamariya Kala post office. We are also quite close to the Gorakhnath Mandir and the Chowk Bazar, so there’s always something going on nearby. Being in Tehsil Maharajganj means we see a lot of people passing through on their way to the temple or the market. Our yard is usually busy with the smell of the earth and the heat from the fires. We make bricks the old-fashioned way. It’s a lot of walking back and forth across the yard in Chelpur. We’ve got a good rhythm going here. The morning starts with checking the kilns and seeing what’s ready. Sometimes the market at Chowk Bazar gets so busy that traffic slows down near us, but we don't mind the bustle. It’s part of living in this part of Maharajganj. We don’t have any fancy brochures. People just know we are here near the Mandir. We just keep stacking the bricks and waiting for the next truck to arrive. It’s a lot of hard work in the sun, but it’s what we know. The village life is simple and we like it that way. If you head towards Kamariya Kala, you’ll find us easily. We are just a bunch of people working at Public Brick Udyog, trying to keep things moving one brick at a time.
