Kisan Traders

Our shop, Kisan Traders, is located right by the railway station in the village of Babhnauli. Being in Siswa, we see a lot of people coming and going, especially when the trains pull in. It is a busy little spot, and we usually have sacks of grain or supplies stacked up near the entrance. We have been here for a while, and the building is getting a bit old, but it serves us well enough. We trade in different agricultural goods, mostly helping the local farmers get their products to where they need to go. It gets loud with the train whistles and the people shouting on the platform, but you get used to it after a week or two. We don’t have any fancy signs, just the name on the front and some old wooden furniture inside. The floor is usually covered in a bit of dust from the grain, and we spend a lot of time weighing things out on the scales. It’s a lot of talking to people, negotiating prices, and keeping track of who owes what. We aren’t interested in being some huge corporation; we just want to run a decent trading business here in our village. It’s hard work, and your back usually aches by the time you close up for the night, but it’s a good way to make a living. We just keep things moving and try to be helpful to the folks in Babhnauli.
