Shree Sai Jewellers

Shree Sai Jewellers is located in the heart of Mujala Bazarkhutha Bazar. It’s a small shop, but we have been here for a long time. People come to see us when they have a special occasion coming up. We spend a lot of time sitting behind the glass counters, showing different pieces to families. It’s a quiet kind of work, very different from the noisy market outside. We use small scales and magnifying glasses to look at the details. The shop has a specific smell, like old metal and polish. We don’t have big flashing lights or fancy displays. Most of our pieces are things we’ve had for a while or that people have asked us to find. It’s a lot about trust in a place like this. Everyone knows everyone else in the bazar. We usually have a pot of tea going in the back for when friends stop by to chat. The floor is a bit worn out from all the feet walking over it. We don't stay open too late, usually closing up when the sun starts to go down. Sometimes we have to do small repairs on a chain or a ring, which takes a steady hand. It’s a traditional way of doing things. We like the rhythm of the market and the familiar faces that pass by every morning. It’s just our little corner of the world and it suits us fine.
