If you walk down Kumariwadi in Mahabubnagar-Town you will find us at 4-8-17/6. Sri Laxmi Chennakeshva Swamy Flour Mill has been a part of this street for a long time. The sound of the machines is something we are all used to by now even if it gets a bit loud during the busy morning hours. Most people around here bring their grain to us to get it ground up for their daily cooking. It is a simple process but it takes time and a bit of muscle to move the heavy bags around. The air is usually a bit dusty with flour but that just shows we are working hard. We try to keep the place clean but when you are grinding grain all day some mess is bound to happen. It is mostly just family working here. We know most of our customers by name since they have been coming to this spot for years. We don't have a website or anything like that because we are usually too busy with the actual work. Usually we start before the sun is fully up to get a head start on the day's tasks. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to wait around which is frustrating but that is just life here. We just focus on doing the job right so people can take their flour home and make their food. It is honest work and it keeps us busy from morning till evening. It’s not fancy but it’s our life.
