If you’re driving down National Highway 44, you’ll see us right next to the South Indian Bank here in Kothur. Sai Samhith Hospital is in a pretty busy spot because of the highway traffic, so we get a lot of people stopping in who are just passing through, along with our regular locals. It’s a bit of a landmark for folks because the bank is right there, and the highway is always moving. Inside, it’s a bit calmer than the road outside, though we have our chaotic moments when several patients arrive at once. The staff mostly lives nearby, so they don’t have a long commute, which helps when we need someone to stay late or cover a shift. We don't have fancy lobbies or expensive coffee machines. It's a hospital where the chairs are a bit old but the doctors know their stuff and they work hard. We deal with everything from road accidents to common fevers. The proximity to the bank makes it easy for people to find us when they’re giving directions to friends. We keep things pretty simple here. There aren't any big speeches about what we do. We just open the doors in the morning, check the schedules, and start seeing people. Sometimes the highway noise is a bit much, but you get used to it after a week or two. We’re just a regular part of the Kothur landscape, serving whoever comes off the road or walks over from the village nearby.
