If you find yourself on Paipad Main Road in Shanti Nagar, you’ll probably see our shop at 34-28. S L V Mobiles isn't a massive store, but we’ve got enough room for a few glass counters and a workbench in the back. It’s usually pretty loud because of the buses and bikes going past on the main road. I spend most of my day hunched over a tiny screwdriver trying to fix cracked screens or cleaning out charging ports that have stopped working. It’s fiddly work and sometimes my eyes get tired from looking at those small parts all day. We have a lot of people dropping in to ask for cables or just to see if their phone can be saved after dropping it in water. Shanti Nagar is a busy neighborhood, so there’s always someone coming through the door. The shop gets a bit cluttered with boxes and old parts that we haven't thrown away yet. We keep a radio playing in the corner to drown out the traffic noise. It’s just a local mobile shop, nothing more than that. We don’t have fancy uniforms or a big sales team. It’s usually just me and maybe one other person helping out. We like the regulars who come by to top up their data or just to say hello. It's a small business, and it keeps us busy from morning till night.
