Mehboob Rice Industries

If you come down to Village Lathanakera, you can’t miss Mehboob Rice Industries. We are located right near the Mehboobnagar water tank, which everyone in the village knows. Being in a small village like this, we are a big part of the local daily life. The mill is where most of the action happens. We take in the paddy from the surrounding fields and turn it into the rice you see in the shops. It is a dusty job, and by the end of the shift, everyone is covered in a thin layer of it. We don't mind, though. It’s the sound of the village working. The water tank is a good landmark for the trucks coming in from outside. We have a small yard where we dry the grain when the sun is out. If it looks like rain, everyone runs out to cover the piles. It’s a team effort here. We don't have any fancy mission statements or glossy brochures. We just have our machines and our hands. The village life is slow but the mill is usually fast-paced. We know the farmers by name and they know they can come to us. It is an honest way to make a living, right here in Lathanakera near the water tank. We take pride in the simple fact that we help turn the local harvest into food for everyone's table nearby.
