Saidamma Veg-market

Our little market is located at 1-72 in Vemnoor, over in the Mahabubabad area. It’s called Saidamma Veg-market because that’s the heart of the place. We start our mornings when it’s still dark outside, getting the crates of vegetables off the trucks. The air is always a bit cool then, and the smell of fresh earth and greens is everywhere. We spend hours sorting through tomatoes, peppers, and all the leafy stuff to make sure only the okay ones are out on the tables. It’s a lot of heavy lifting, moving those wooden boxes around. People from all over Vemnoor come by to see what we have for the day. It’s a noisy place once the sun comes up, with everyone talking and picking through the piles. We don't have fancy displays or bright lights, just some simple tables and a scale that’s seen better days. The floor is usually a bit wet from washing the mud off the carrots. We’ve been here in Mahabubabad for a while, and we know most of the faces that walk through the door. It’s not an easy job, standing on your feet all day and dealing with the heat, but it’s how we make a living. We just try to keep the bins full and the floor swept as much as we can between the rushes of customers. It’s just a regular local veg market where we try to keep things fresh.
