Somani Plastic Industries

You can find us over at Sy No 133, 134, and 142 in the Mothighanpur area of Balanagar. It’s a pretty large space because we need the room for the plastic processing machines. The smell of melting plastic is something you get used to after about a day of working here. We have several machines that run for long hours, and there’s always a steady hum in the background. It gets pretty hot near the extruders, so we try to keep the ventilation going as best as we can. The yard is usually full of raw material bags and finished products waiting to be loaded onto trucks. Balanagar is a heavy industrial zone, so Somani Plastic Industries fits right in with the surroundings. We don’t have a fancy front desk or a receptionist; if someone comes by, they usually just talk to whoever is near the main gate. The floor is concrete and often has bits of plastic trimmings scattered about before we sweep up at the end of the shift. Most of our workers live nearby, so we have a good little community going here. We don’t do much advertising; the work just comes in and we get it done. Some of the machines are newer, but we still have a few old ones that need a bit of a kick to get started in the morning. It’s just a regular factory doing its thing every day without any fuss.
