Bheempakula Bangaramma

Living and working out here in Japthi Sadagudo village is a lot different than being in a big city. My name is Bheempakula Bangaramma, and this is where I stay at house 2-96. It is a small place in the Uppununthala Mandal. Life moves a bit slower here, and that is just fine with most of us. Most of the folks around here are farmers or they run small shops like this one. We know everyone’s business, and everyone knows ours. It gets very hot in the afternoons, so we usually take a break when the sun is high and then pick back up when it gets cooler in the evening. I’ve lived in this district my whole life and haven’t seen much reason to leave. The work isn't anything complicated, just daily tasks that keep the household and the business going. We don’t have any big corporate goals or things like that. We just try to make sure everything is handled right so we can look our neighbors in the eye. Sometimes the power goes out or the roads get tricky after a big storm, but we are used to that. You learn to fix things yourself when you live out this way. It’s just me and the family making sure we keep the doors open and things moving along. It’s a simple life, but it’s ours and we are quite content with it. We don't need much more than some steady work and good neighbors to keep things interesting.
