Barla Eswaramma

We are based in Vanapatla village, which is part of the Nagarkurnool area. It’s a quiet place compared to the big cities. Our work happens right here in the village, 3-22 is the house number. Life moves a bit slower here and we prefer it that way. We deal with whatever needs doing in the community. Most of the people around here are neighbors we’ve known for our whole lives. It’s a simple setup, nothing fancy at all. We spend a lot of our time outside or in the front room of the house where it's cooler. The weather really dictates how the day goes. If it’s too hot, we start very early in the morning and take a break in the afternoon when the sun is strongest. There aren't many big signs or anything like that to show where we are. People just know where Barla Eswaramma is located. We don't use much technology, just the basics to keep things running. Sometimes we have to travel into the main Mandal town for supplies or to settle some paperwork. It’s a bit of a trip on the local transport but necessary. The air is cleaner here than in the town, which is nice for us. We just focus on our daily chores and the small tasks that keep the household and the work going. It’s not a complicated life. We take things one day at a time and help out where we can. It’s just the way things are done in our village.
