Apple Packaging

Our place, Apple Packaging, is out in Thoomapally village. It is a bit of a drive if you are coming from the main city, but it's quiet out here in the Mahabubnagar district. We are at Survey Number 15, which is basically just a big plot where we set up our sheds. The air is a bit cleaner here than in the town, which is nice for the workers. Most of the people who work with us are from Kondurg or the surrounding villages. They walk or cycle in every morning. We deal with packaging, so there are always piles of materials and rolls of stuff lying around the warehouse. It’s a practical business. We don't have any fancy meeting rooms or air conditioning in the main area, just the sounds of the machines and people talking. Sometimes the power goes out, which is common in rural areas, but we have a backup to keep things moving. We started Apple Packaging because there was a need for it in this region, and we’ve just grown slowly over the years. We know most of the farmers and small business owners around Thoomapally. It’s a good community. If you visit, you might have to ask a local for directions because the survey numbers can be a bit confusing if you aren't from around here. We’re just regular people trying to run a steady business in Mahabubnagar and we plan to stay here.
