Out here at 59, Thumbulavar Street in Karunguzhi, things move at their own pace. We started this place because there was a need for a steady trader in this part of town. Every morning, we roll up the shutters and check what came in on the trucks overnight. It is mostly just a lot of lifting and counting. The street can be narrow, so when big deliveries arrive, it gets a bit crowded outside. We know most of the people who stop by by their first names. It isn’t just about the goods; it’s about the chat we have while sorting out the orders. Sometimes the ledger gets a bit messy, but we always make sure the numbers add up in the end. We handle all sorts of supplies, and the warehouse can get quite full during certain months. You might find some dust on the boxes, but we try to keep things organized enough so we can find what a customer wants without making them wait too long. Karunguzhi is a quiet place mostly, and we like being tucked away on Thumbulavar Street. It’s hard work, and my back feels it by the end of the week, but seeing the trucks go out full makes it feel like we’ve done something real. We don't have fancy offices, just a desk and some chairs.
