Vedanta

Down here in Tirumangalam, Madurai, things move a little slower than in the big cities. We are located at 2/247, Pandian Nagar. Vedanta is our name, and we’ve been part of this community for a while now. Our building is pretty standard for the area. It’s got that Tamil Nadu heat, so we keep the fans going all day. We do a variety of things here, mostly serving the local folks in Pandian Nagar. It’s not a fancy office with air conditioning in every room. We have some old desks and a lot of registers where we write things down by hand. It’s more reliable than the computer sometimes, especially when the power goes out. We see a lot of the same faces every week. People stop by to chat or ask for help with their orders. We don't have a big marketing budget or anything like that. We just rely on being here when people need us. The road outside can get noisy with all the buses and bikes, but we’re used to it. We take our breaks in the afternoon when the sun is at its worst. It’s just us, a few chairs, and the work that needs doing. We aren't a huge multinational corporation, just a local spot with a name that people recognize. We just try to stay honest and get through the daily tasks. We make sure the shop is swept and the files are in order before we head home to our families.
