Orro Garments

Our shop, Orro Garments, is situated at number 2/311 on Thalampoo Street in Vandiyur. It’s a busy little spot, and if you come by, you’ll likely hear the sound of the machines long before you step inside. We have a lot of stuff piled up near the entrance and bits and pieces on the floor, which is just how a place like this looks when it's actually working. Vandiyur is a good neighborhood for us. There are plenty of people around and always someone stopping by to chat or ask a question. The space isn't very big, so we have to be careful about how we stack things so we don't trip over each other. We’ve got a couple of big tables that take up most of the room. The lighting isn't the best, so we use a few extra lamps to make sure we can see what we're doing clearly. It gets hot in the afternoons with all the equipment running, but we have a couple of sturdy fans that do the job. We aren't trying to be a high-fashion boutique; we just handle our orders. It’s a lot of manual work and long hours, but we’re used to it. The neighbors are mostly other small businesses, so there’s a sense of everyone just trying to make a living. It’s a straightforward, busy life here on Thalampoo Street. We usually sweep the floors at the very end of the day.
