Valan Granites

Valan Granites is located at 30, Kuyavarpalayam Road. It’s a dusty kind of business because working with stone always is. We have slabs of granite leaning against the walls and it takes up a lot of space. The road outside is usually busy with trucks and local traffic. We spend our days measuring, cutting, and talking to people about what kind of stone they need for their houses or projects. It’s physical work. Our clothes usually have a bit of stone dust on them by the end of the day. The office part is just a small corner where we keep the books and take phone calls. It’s not a showroom with bright lights. It’s more of a yard where the real work happens. We’ve been on Kuyavarpalayam Road for quite a while now. The weather gets hot, and the stone stays cool, which is nice in the afternoons. We don't do much in the way of marketing. Most people find out about us from neighbors or just by driving past and seeing the granite. It’s a simple operation. We focus on the stone and making sure the pieces are cut right. There’s a certain rhythm to the sound of the saws and the movement of the slabs. It’s just a local business doing its thing day after day. We don't have fancy titles or big meetings. Just some folks working with stone and trying to get the orders delivered.
