Tulsyan Nec Ltd

Our office is right on Gandhiji Street in Madurai, literally just across from the Perumbalan Rice Mill. If you’re ever in Alagappan Nagar, you can’t miss the smell of the grain from the mill next door. It’s a very local vibe here, with cows sometimes wandering down the street and people on cycles going past all day. We are at number 55, and it’s a straightforward building where we handle the Nec Ltd business for this region. The walls are painted a simple color and we have some old wooden furniture that has seen better days, but it works for what we need. The Madurai sun is no joke, so we tend to keep the shutters halfway down in the afternoon to stay cool. There’s always someone coming in to talk about a delivery or to sign some papers. We aren't a high-tech operation with screens everywhere; it’s more about ledgers and talking to people face-to-face. Sometimes the noise from the mill is a bit much, but it’s part of the background of our workday. We take our breaks when we can and usually send someone out to get tea for the whole group. It’s a small team here, so we all know each other’s business. We just stay focused on the tasks at hand and try to get home before the evening traffic gets too bad.
