T. Marimuthu Handloom Weaving Factory

If you are looking for us, we are located at 4-Ahimsapuram, on 4th Street in Sellur. This part of town has a long history with handlooms, and we are just one part of that tradition. Our building is not very big, but it is full of history and the sound of the looms. We have been weaving here for many years, following the steps our parents taught us. It is hard work and it can be hard on the back, but we enjoy seeing a finished piece of cloth. We don't have any high-tech equipment, just the old-fashioned tools that have always worked for us. Sometimes we have to fix a loom ourselves when it breaks down, which happens more often than we would like. The street outside is usually quiet, except for the occasional bike or neighbor walking past. We keep our doors open to let the air in while we work. It gets quite warm in the afternoons, especially in the summer. We are just a local family trying to keep the weaving craft alive in Sellur. We don't use any fancy marketing or have a big sales team. It is just us, the thread, and the looms. We take pride in what we make, even if we don't say it in a loud way. It is a quiet life, but we are satisfied with it here at our factory.
