We’re set up over in Gandhi Nagar at number 2/1843. Kanjanaickanpatty is a quiet enough place to run a business. SPM Business Chits is what we’ve been calling this place. It’s not a massive office building, just a simple room where we can sit down and get the work done. Most of our day is spent looking over the chit books and making sure all the collections are recorded right. People from the neighborhood stop by when they can. We don't have any slick marketing or big signs. Usually, someone just tells a friend about us and that’s how we get new members. It’s a very local way of doing things. We like the pace here. It’s not like the big cities where everything is a rush. We take our time to make sure the math is right. The furniture is nothing fancy, just some basic stuff to get us through the day. Sometimes we have to stay late to finish up the monthly closing, but that’s just how it goes. We’ve been in this spot for a bit now and it feels like home. There isn't much to explain about what we do. We just handle the chits for the people who live around Gandhi Nagar and try to keep things simple for everyone involved. When the rains come, the street gets a bit muddy, but we still make it in. People trust us and we keep our heads down and work.
