Solamalai College of Engineering

Out here in Madurai, specifically at S.V Raja Nagar in Veerapanjan, things are a bit quieter than the main city center. The college is spread out across the grounds, and you can see the students moving between buildings all day long. It gets pretty hot in Tamil Nadu, so everyone looks for the shade under the trees during the breaks. We have been in this spot for some time now. The main gate is easy to spot if you are coming down from the highway. Inside, it’s mostly classrooms and the sounds of people talking or working in the labs. It’s not a flashy place, but it is functional and serves its purpose for the folks living around here. We see a lot of local faces every morning when the buses pull in. The staff stays busy with the usual paperwork and keeping the place running. It’s a big campus, so there is always something that needs fixing or a corner that needs cleaning. We don’t really have a big corporate feel here. It feels more like a community where everyone knows everyone else after a few months. The evenings are usually nice when the sun starts to go down and the breeze kicks in. It’s just a regular engineering college doing what it does every day. We try to keep things organized without making a big fuss about it or pretending to be something we aren't for the sake of appearances.
