Small Level Contract Business

We are over here in T. Andipatti, right on Nattanmaikara Street. It’s a quiet spot in the Madurai district. Small Level Contract Business is mostly just us doing what needs doing around here. Some days it is fixing a wall, other days it is helping a neighbor with a small building project. We don’t have a big fancy office with glass walls. It is just a desk and some tools. People around Vadipatti know us by name because we’ve been here a while. We show up when we say we will. Most of the work comes from folks talking to each other at the tea stall. You see the same faces every day in Mettuneerethan. Sometimes the weather gets really hot and we have to start very early in the morning to get things done before the sun is too high. It’s not easy work but it pays the bills and keeps us busy. We don’t do those massive skyscraper projects. We stick to the small stuff where we can actually see the progress every evening. If someone needs a small repair or a bit of masonry work, they usually find their way to our door. It’s a simple way of living. We just try to keep our head down and finish the jobs. My uncle started this kind of work and now I’m doing it too. It’s just how it goes in a place like this.
