Our location is at Depo No. 255 within the Tamil Nadu Food Grains Market Yard Private Limited. Even though the address says West Tripura, we are situated in this busy market yard at Sikkandar Chavadi. It is a very active place to be. All day long, you see trucks coming in with grain and people moving sacks around. The smell of different grains and food products is always in the air here. Our depot is just one of many in the yard, but we have our own way of doing things. We process agro-food products, so there is always some machinery running or someone checking the quality of the batches. The floor is often covered in a fine dust from the grains, and we have to sweep it out regularly. It is not a place for wearing nice clothes because you are going to get a bit dirty while you work. We have a small desk tucked into one corner where we keep our ledgers and do the paperwork. It is loud and busy, and you have to shout sometimes to be heard over the noise of the yard. We work long hours when the harvest comes in, but that is just how the food business goes. It is a practical, no-nonsense environment where we just focus on the food processing tasks at hand and get the grain sacks moved out.
