Seventh Day Adventist Matriculation School

Our school, Seventh Day Adventist Matriculation School, is located at No 4/13, Melur in Madurai. The pin code is 625106. It is a decent-sized place right in the middle of the Melur area. We have a gate that opens onto the main street and it gets quite crowded when school starts and ends. There are many classrooms spread out, and we have a small office where the administrative work gets done. The walls are painted a simple color and we have posters made by the students hanging up here and there. In Madurai, it gets very hot, so the fans are always spinning in the rooms. The children bring their water bottles and lunch boxes every day. We have a routine that we follow, starting with the morning bell. The teachers are locals who have been with us for a while. They know the families in the neighborhood. It is a community feeling because everyone knows each other. We don't have a huge field, but there is enough room for the students to stand for assembly. The school day goes by pretty fast once we get started. We just focus on the textbooks and making sure the students are where they need to be. It is a practical place meant for studying and nothing else. We like the quiet times after the kids leave for the day and the dust finally settles down.
