We are out here in Thuvariman, at 1/5 Venkatachalapathy Nagar. Madurai is a big place, but our little corner in 625019 feels a bit more grounded. The foundation has been around for a while, and we mostly focus on things that matter to the local environment and the people living here. Our office isn't much to look at. It's just a small space with a few desks and some posters on the wall that have been there for years. We don't have a corporate feel at all. Most of the time, we are out and about rather than sitting behind a desk. Sarvodaya Nature Conservation And Development Forum is a long name, but we are just regular people. We might have some dirt on our shoes from being outside, and the office might be a bit cluttered with maps and old reports. We don't use big words or try to sound more important than we are. It’s just work that needs to be done. The heat in Madurai can be tough, but we have a couple of trees nearby that give some shade. Sometimes the neighborhood kids play right outside our door. It’s a very open sort of place. We don't have a formal dress code or anything like that. We just want to get things done without making a big fuss about it. That is how we operate every day from our small base in Thuvariman.
