Sri Devi Hydraulics

Our shop, Sri Devi Hydraulics, sits right on Kulamangalam Main Road. If you know the S. Alangulam area, you probably have passed by us at some point. It’s a busy street, so there is always noise from the traffic outside while we are working on pumps and cylinders. We spend a lot of our time covered in oil or grease because that is just the nature of hydraulic work. It’s a small place, No. 10-3-23/2, and the walls are a bit stained from years of use. We have a few benches where we take things apart to see why they stopped working. Most of the guys here have been doing this for years, so we don't need to say much to each other to get a job done. The tools are old but they still work fine for what we do. Sometimes customers drop off a piece of equipment and tell us a long story about how it broke, and we just listen while looking for the leak. It gets crowded when too many parts are waiting for pickup, but we find space. We don’t have a front desk or anyone to answer phones all day. If the phone rings and we are under a machine, we just catch it when we can. It’s just how it is. We stay busy enough without needing to make a fuss about it. We just keep the doors open and focus on the machines brought to us.
