The junction near Pandi Kovil is always loud. We're right there where the Ring Road and the Bye Pass Road meet. It’s a handy spot if you’re moving heavy roofing materials because the trucks don't have to navigate those tiny city streets. Most days, it’s just the sound of engines and the sun beating down on the yard. We’ve got piles of stuff everywhere. It looks a bit messy to someone just passing by, but we know where everything is. My cousin helps out on the weekends when it gets busy. We spend a lot of time outside, checking the stock and talking to drivers. It gets really hot in the afternoon, so we usually duck into the small office for a bit of shade and some water. People stop by on their way out of Madurai, mostly asking about prices or if we have a specific color in stock. We don't really do much advertising. The location does most of the work for us, being right at the junction like that. You can’t really miss the stacks of sheets if you’re driving through. It’s a simple setup, just us and the materials and the constant traffic. We’ve been here for a while now, and we’re used to the dust and the noise. It’s just how it is working on the edge of the city. We don't mind it much as long as the work keeps coming in.
