Rasathe Garments

Rasathe Garments is found at unit number 404 in the Sibcro Industrial Estate, over in Urangantatty Varchiour. Being in an industrial estate means we are surrounded by a lot of other small factories and warehouses. It is always a bit loud with the sound of trucks coming and going to pick up loads. Our space is basically one large room with concrete floors and high ceilings. We have our sewing stations set up in rows. It isn't the most beautiful place, but it is functional for what we do. We mostly handle bulk orders for other businesses around the region. There isn't a front desk or a receptionist here. Usually, you have to shout a bit to get someone’s attention over the noise of the machines. We’ve had to fix the roof a couple of times because of the heavy rains, but otherwise, the building holds up okay. We eat our lunch on some benches near the side entrance where it’s a bit cooler. We don’t have any fancy brochures or a marketing department. Most people find us through word of mouth or because they saw our name on a delivery crate. We just focus on making sure the garments are put together correctly and packed away in the right boxes. It’s a lot of manual work, and we are usually pretty tired by the end of the shift. We just try to keep things moving along smoothly every day.
