Ramapandyan Hospital

Ramapandyan Hospital is at No. 338/1C.A. Puthur Road. It’s a decent-sized place but it feels lived in. The building has been here for a while, and you can tell by the way the floor tiles are worn down in the middle of the hallway. Puthur Road is a major route, so there are always people moving past our windows. Inside, it is a mix of nurses running around and families sitting quietly in the waiting area. We have these old metal filing cabinets that squeak every time you open them. I’ve tried oiling them, but it never seems to last. My day is usually spent checking people in and trying to find space for everyone. It gets pretty loud during shift changes when all the staff are talking at once. We have a small canteen area where the tea is actually quite good if you get it fresh. The doctors here don't wear those perfectly white coats you see on TV; they look like they’ve been working hard, which they have. We deal with all sorts of things, from stomach aches to more serious stuff that requires staying overnight. The clock in the main hall is about five minutes fast, but we leave it that way so everyone stays on their toes. It’s a busy, noisy, but functional hospital on a busy road.
